Brush with a Body

15th - 18th May 2019

(by Maurice McLoughlin) Set in 1962 in Hampstead, London, this dazzling drawing room farce follows the Walling family as they deal with the surprise of their Chimney Sweep finding a body stuffed up their Study chimney.

As the news trickles out, the Police turn up looking for another missing person. Misunderstandings and confusion fuel the fire of this cracking comedy.

In 1979, this play was performed by the Hathersage Players as their first production and we were honoured, on our fortieth birthday, to have Mike Allen (Policeman) who appeared in both versions!
