The Crucible

18th - 22nd June 2024

(by Arthur Miller)

A play based on the tensions of the Salem Witch Trials that ran from February 1692 to May 1693 in Massachusetts, USA. It contains themes of guilt, loss of reputation and ‘individual verses society’ which resonate just as loudly today, maybe even more so.

‘The Crucible’ won the 1953 Tony Award for Best Play. The play has since become a classic and is regarded as a central work in the canon of American drama.

The Directorial Team of Pat McLoughlin, Rob Hall and Val Robinson brought you the sell out success that was ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ in 2021. We will perform ‘in the round’ once more to maximise the Cast-Audience experience.

This amateur production is presented by arrangement with Music Theatre International on behalf of Josef Weinberger Ltd. www.mtishows.co.uk | www.josef-weinberger.com
